In 2003 the Tyson Library completed a building
project, nearly doubling the size of the original 1942 structure. |
|
The architects, Veazy, Parrot, Durkin and Shoulders
of Indianapolis, designed an addition that blended the original
look of the Library, using a matching brick and roof pattern.

The building project allowed for an expanded
fiction / non-fiction reading area, video and reference area,
public computer work stations, restrooms on the main floor and
the relocation of the children area from the lower level to the
main floor. In addition access was provided for those with physical
disabilities. |
